  •       Jingle bells jingle bells....... Ohhh.....  to breath the crisp winter air, to see the fresh white snow, the christmas lights twinkling, and the smell of hot chocolate.....  Ok i better stop now, it's about to make me cry,  Jk :)  I thought id better do something to make it seem more like Dec. so the other night i hung light in my room, burned a good smelling candles, drank hot coco, played christmas music and stared at my christmas screen saver :) Hey, i'm desperate.  It helped to!

The other week my parents, Leanna, Jonathan, an Lori and my good friend Katherine came for a week!! Awesome! We got to do a lot of cool stuff, we went to the country, to the beach, had Thanksgiving together, and went to market.  I actually got MY MOM, to ride a tap tap!!!  That is an accomplishment.  It was very comical,  she saw one and very dynamically said, " Lisa, you are NOT getting me on one of those!!"  But i did, and i think that she would have to admit that she enjoyed it.  I love you mom :)  So yeah, we had an awesome time just being         together again. We did a lot of fun things but instead of writing a whole speel about it i think ill just post pics.  They are much more interesting   Last week we went up North but i think ill have to fill you in on that later or just post some pics about it. It was a real eye opening experience!

So i guess it's time to update again.   I was hoping that we wouldnt have interenet so i wouldnt have to   Anyways, what new exciting thing can i write........  A lot has happened but im not sure were to start.  Well i can tell you bout last weekend.   We took a trip to the country again, which i usually dread, but this time it was actually a lot of fun!  The main reason we went was to hand out school kits, but then we actually got to do a lot more.  We left on  fri. and came back on mon. so it was it was a long weekend. And i think we figured out that we did 14 hr's of driving, with all the running we did!  On sat. we cleaned and did wash, then went to visit Pastor Gabriel, the parents of a guy that lives with us.  His family is awesome! I love going there. I had a blast hanging out with his aunts.  It was quite comical with my limited creole.  But we both had fun.  They even gave me some "candy" to take home.  It was ground corn with sugar mixed in   Then on sun. we went to visit a new missionary family that lived an hour away, they were there to help with the deaf school.  I felt really bad for them, because they barely new any creole and are the only missionary family there!  But they will learn fast.  We went to there church,  that was very interesting!  They did a lot of singing, different groups would come up, the one group was a mens group, they were really good!  The one bass, WoW, he was dragging the floor!  Then they ask us blan's (whites) to come up and sing,  and we sung a song that nobody new very well, so that was kinda a bum deal   Then after church we visited the deaf school, that was really neat!  The kids were so sweet!  I had this big wooly sweater on cause we were on a mountain and it was freezing!  Dud! It was like 70!  Hey, if your use to high 80's that is cold!,  Anyways they must have like my coat cause they kept on hugging me and trying to get inside my coat.  It was frustrating to not be able to talk to them!  They even "sang" for us in sign language! When they sign they some times grunt, so thats how they did when they sang, it was not pleasing to the ears at all but it was still really cool!  Anyways so that was an interesting day, then to top it off we had a very interesting night as well. Us girls were laying on the top of the truck looking at the full moon when these 2 kids came and, i hate to even admit it but they scared the Bjibbes, out of me!  They were running around the truck acting like they had lost there minds!  And i went down to try to calm them down, until i saw them smiling.....    My knees were shaking!  They thought it was hilarious. I did not.  Anyways the next day we handed out school kits in the rain and MUD, but it was worth it.  The real "fun" part was driving 4 hr's home in the pouring rain!  YEs, we were on the back. I was so cold i could no longer feel my finger tips!  And the garbage bag i put over my head did NOT help. As soon as i got home i took a "hot" shower, put a jacket on and drank a cup of hot chocolate!  YUM,  It was 75,  I know i cant believe i was cold either.  But it was windy and rainy!  It stayed that way all week, it was from hurricane Noel,  a lot of people lost there home from that.  So you can remember to pray for them.  Ok, i think i wrote about enough.   So i will go do something more profitable, like sleep

  •                   So what shall i write about.........  Mmmm....  O, i can tell you about all the new experiences ive had.   For num. 1,  i  can finally say that i   fainted!      Very odd  feeling!   We had gone to Cadiac,  a 4 hour drive on very nasty, bumpy roads  and on the way we bought some sugar cane from the guys that are always trying to sell you stuff , anyways something about it made me sick, but i didnt actually faint till we arrived and were at native's  house.  We were just ready to leave when i started feeling dizzy so i sat down and tried to put my head on my lap but next thing i new  i was flat on my back  with a crowd of people staring down at me!   It was weird because it was almost like i was sleeping, cause i was kinda dreaming, and they said that i was making snoring noises.   You no , i never did do things like normal people.  No comments!   Well im sure those people will never forget me!    They felt so bad for me, they kept on apologizing!  It made me feel bad, it wasnt there fault.

On our way to cadiac.  Notice the sugar cane.

The next thing i did was much better.  We went snorkeling at Wahoo beach!  I wish i could say that i swam with dolphins and saw an octopus but i didnt.  We did see some pretty cool fish though.  They were real little and all were all different colors.  I even saw one of those fish that blow up, so that was pretty cool.  Then on the way home we rode on the back o the truck in the  pouring rain!  That was fun, people just stared!   They always stare but this time they really stared!  They thought we were crazy!  The little kids always yell at us or make kissy noises at us,  i love doing stuff back to them.  It makes there day, there eyes get big and they get huge grins on there faces.  I love these people!
